Sustainable development

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action programme for people, planet and prosperity. Signed on 25 September 2015 by the governments of the 193 member countries of the United Nations, and approved by the UN General Assembly, the Agenda consists of 17 Sustainable Development GoalsSustainable Development Goals, SDGs – to be achieved in the environmental, economic, social and institutional spheres by 2030. This agenda does not solve all problems, but represents a good common basis from which to build a different world and give everyone the chance to live in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable world. The 17 Goals refer to a set of important development issues that take into account in a balanced way the three dimensions of sustainable development – economic, social and ecological – and aim to end poverty, fight inequality, address climate change, and build peaceful societies that respect human rights. Sustainability is not a purely environmental issue.

F.lli Vitali is committed to and contributes to the ONU goals, in particular SDGs 3 – 5 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 12 – 13 – 15 – 17.
